Reusing 2F lifters out of order

Hi,
Is it possible to use the same lifters on 2F build? Assembling today but the machine shop left them out of order. The mechanic helping me eyeballed them and said they looked fine and were still smooth after 240k miles, consensus?
If I wait I’ll have to pay 100+ for the mew ones and not get to assembling the engine today which would suck

An advice to me from a machinist was to coat each lifter and your finger tips in the motor oil to be used with the truck.
The trick is to place the lifters in their bore and see that they can rotate with absolute ease in 360*, its imperative the lifters be able to rotate without difficulty or your fingers slipping, you want to hold them with a loose grip.
You may find that some lifters are stiffer in some slots but not others, via trial and error place the lifters in slots where they can easily rotate without your fingers slipping,
if your oil coated fingers are slipping or having a hard time rotating the lifter in the bore then try a different lifter/bore configuration. You could always hone the bore if you need to work on the fitment.

In terms of them being okay to re-use, just be sure they aren't pitted or flat. A confident machinist could help you make that call.
