Yes, until you open the door, OR if you wait too long. It only lasts a very short time--like 30 seconds or something.

There was a write up long long ago on 80scool on how to get permanent power to the windows. From memory... there's a relay in the US/PS kickpanel. You pull the relay and poke a wire across where the contacts use to go.
I've always wanted to do that, but figured I'd wait until the kids were old enough to not do something stupid like cut off their heads etc... Sometimes we have to prevent natural selection from taking its course... to keep the wife happy

FWIW, 91-2 do not have this feature.
