Resistive to Capacitive Upgrade?

Hello,

I read that July of 2018 introduced a capacitive infotainment screen. Can a ‘16-17 be upgraded to this? Is there a dramatic difference? Worth upgrading to?

Thanks for any advise. I’ve always understood capacitive lasts longer than resistive technology.

I have a 2019 and honestly the infotainment is still one of the weakest areas of this truck. So far behind the modern competition. I can't imagine it would be worth the time or money to upgrade. Just my 2¢.

I'd look at some of the aftermarket carplay options if I were you.
