Yes, I want to spoil my kid while traveling. I do lots of freeway driving especially at night time so I want my kids have some kind of entertainment while sitting in the car for long time. I am no longer own any DVD, who use DVD now day? Does anyone know a good shop around Oregon, Washington and California willing to swap out the DvD screens in the back with Ipads?

How about the leaving the screens and put the iPads in their hands? If you want iPads so they can also play games, it will be annoying for them if mounted. If you just want them to be able to watch downloaded, or even streamed movies there are probably better options that don't cost you an Apple arm and a leg.

As you may know from other threads, there is a lot of interest in that idea. I seem to remember a Toyota accessory available for pre-'16 that was a tablet mount for the back of the front seats, but I don't see one listed now. In any event, if we could just get rid of the LCD screens in the '16+ models without leaving huge ugly hole in the seats, there are lots of removable aftermarket tablet headrest brackets that would work fine for what you need. It's hard to believe Toyota didn't do that as OEM in this day and age. The first shop to come up with a solution (hint to @NLXTACY ) could make some money.

I have ideas ;)

While not specifically the LC, I have an ipad mini mounted permanently in my 911. It works beautifully. Just be aware that on hot summer days with the car parked outside, that the ipads will go into overheat self protection mode. Not a big deal on my 911 as it mostly sees garage and parking structures, but just be aware of it.

The ipad already in his hand, I afraid he look down too much will have neck and shoulder issue. I think if he look up at the screen will give him better view of the screen and outside.
