I believe that I have a clutch that is toast.

I am almost 100% positive I can answer my own question, but would like a more experienced answer. Since CDan's books only go back to '69 he is not able to gain part numbers for clutch parts. $OR sells a kit that ranges from '58-'74. I want to be sure that the '69 parts will fit on my '65FJ45.

Here is want I am looking to get....

Through-out bearing
Pilot bearing
Pressure plate
Disk
Rear main seal

My main question is this...Will ordering parts for a '69 work for my '65.

Thanks for any help.

Dave

You will want to get your flywheel resurfaced, but have them check to make sure they can turn it down. If it is too far gone you will have to find a replacement. Not common, but happens.

To answer your question. Yes the 65 and 69 are interchangable.
