Hey all!

I searched, but I’m struggling from my phone to find anything valuable.

My batteries going out on my 2006 hundred series. First time replacing it, and I thought I’d check and see if you had a go to preferred battery.

I’m not running anything special other than zombie lights and those hardly ever.

Thanks!

Matt

This... if you have a Costco/Sam's Club membership the Kirkland/Interstate Battery brand is hard to beat. You can spend lots more money on AGM and other stuff but it really isn't necessary for stock duty like you are talking. Other one is to go with a Toyota Battery from your dealership, those are top notch as well.

MY vote is for Toyota battery. They seem to consistently last 6+ years here in frigid WI!

I recently bought a Duracell Battery at Batteries Plus. Believe it or not, it was about 3/8 inch taller than the Toyota brand battery I had. The Duracell battery wouldn't fit in the retaining bracket (over the top of the battery). So I ended up calling the local toyota dealer for a battery. They had one in stock, and it was $20 cheaper than the Duracell?! So new stock Toyota battery for me.

just got a 27F Interstate from costco for $94+tax. 36 months (prorated I assume) warranty. They had to order it. I was significantly cheaper than anything else I saw online (like $150 and up). But if that ^ is a 27F from Toyota, that does sound good too given the longer warranty, though.

I believe that stock size is 27F and Toyota wouldn't give you anything other than what is spec'd.

I should add, though, that this whole battery warranty business seems to be a bit of a red herring at times. Like some dealers will prorate but only if you buy a new one at full retail price from them, or use a decreasing scale, or base it on the manufacturing date instead of purchase date, and similar shenanigans. That is, however, one reason why I like Costco, they are pretty good with returns in general. And hopefully Toyota would be too.

Costco won’t even test them, at 42 months you can replace no questions asked... almost like $90/ for a lifetime membership

^ not sure what you meant. What about 42 months?
