Has anyone done this? Mine has a couple of tears - it isn't leaking but...I'd like to replace it and while the Lexus part is around $300 equivalent is available on eBay for less than $50.

Some videos out there on YouTube about window weatherseal replacement including the rear quarter windows, but I can't find anything for the rear door / hatch. I'm hoping it's something I can just pull out and push back in without disassembling a lot of the interior.

Watching with interest...

I tried tugging it out at the bottom and it _seems_ like it should come out all around - I just ordered the weatherstrip on eBay and will report back.

I did it - probably 20 minutes end to end and 1/2 of that was cleaning up the debris behind the trim. Entire piece pulled off very easy - there was some adhesive goo on the top edge where two pieces of metal were sandwiched together to make the seam. There might be more of that - I did get hit on the passenger rear quarter years ago and there was some body work so the shop might have pulled it off previously.

Pushing straight on, worked my way around...and I came up a bit short. Pulled off and - pulling moderately from the end as I pushed on a second time - it worked out well.

Proof in the pudding - door closed nicely and there's now a feeling of a nice cushioned seal being made.
