My A/C compressor is now seizing up. Toyodiy says a new compressor is around $1400, but I see ( I guess) compatible ones for $300ish. The unit is strong when it does work but I assume it is 28 years old. Would you replace the compressor drier etc now or just the clutch and bearing and hope that’s good. This is if those items can be replaced without evac and recharging the system. If the Freon has to come out, I’m thinking might as well do the whole thing. Thoughts?
