Working on installing the OME lift kit on my new to me 2008 yesterday, and I managed to pinch the drivers side ABS wire under the strut nut when I tightened it. Now I have ABS/VSC warning lights, etc. I can see where the wire was pinched.

Should I cut and splice or replace with new?

Note - I am not normally this ham fisted but once in awhile, Murphy visits.

I hosed mine too. A new one is rather expensive. I soldered in a new piece of wire, it's as good as (probably better) new.

I wouldn't solder a repair. Those joints don't do well under vibratory loading. That's the why the harness repair manual has splice instructions.

Mr. T considers a butt splice joint acceptable. I'd get the heavy duty connectors for exterior joints. The ones in the parts stores are the ones listed in the FSM harness repair manual. I'd also get some heat shrink tubing, rather than tape.
