Why? Didn't order thru Amazon, went straight to one of the approved sources in TN. Bought 150 for staff and family and I think paid about $1.25 per pair.
We will be there this weekend. Solar eclipse glasses. Do you have a few sets to spare? i would gladly double your $. Hope to meet up with you guys at some point. Staying at capt jims and gonna make it a point to see dave, lynn and allen. Marshall you gonna be around? Sierra Nevada??

If I had any spares I certainly wouldn't look to make $ on them from a fellow MUD member! Unfortunately I don't even have enough for our family now that I have cousins I haven't seen in 15-20 years coming this weekend. Amazing how an event like this leads to one of the best attended family reunions we've ever had!

Mike - how many pairs are you looking for? If I come across any additional will snag them for you!

Hey, we would need 3. Unfortunately, my plans to visit are in limbo now. Shell cancelled our helo for thurs and have us flying out friday. Long story short, i may not get home till sat now! Boat life!

I will have 5 pair of "use at your own risk" glasses tonight at the club meet. These were part of that recall from Amazon for any ISO certified glasses where Amazon did not have the actual ISO certification available.

@jamesurq, where did you end up for the eclipse? Hope your dad got a good viewing! We had 22 at our house Sunday night for dinner, 8 spend the night and 15 were present for the "Totality"! We started a "Totality" drinking game sometime after 4pm after watching some NASA coverage.....was not a good idea and had to be abandoned within 30 minutes as we had planned to head downtown Greenville for dinner.

We ended up finding a campground just over the NC border in Saluda. Planned to drive to Valhalla since it's a cool name and right in the path of totality. Ended up at the side of the road in a nice clearing right outside aptly named "Sunset, SC". or at least that's what the weather channel app said. Over 2:20 of totality, saw Venus, the red thingys, the diamond ring, pretty awesome. My Dad loved it.

Camping was fun too - brought the trailer and a couple tents. It got pretty cold at night - which was a nice change. Already talking about planning for the 2024 eclipse :)
