I am getting married April 3, 2010 and would like to rent or borrow a restored FJ40 to leave the reception. My soon to be husband owns a FJZ80 and is part of the Georgia Cruisers. Cruisers are his second love (hopefully). I would love to surprise him with one of these to leave the reception. We are getting married in Albertville, AL and the reception is at the Country Club. If there is any way you would be willing to allow us to borrow or rent your truck to make our special day even more special, please contact me. or if you know of any place in North Alabama that rents nice older cars, please let me know. Thanks.

This is a shot in the dark but you could try contacting Bill Penney Toyota in Huntsville. The owners have a bunch of Cruisers. Not sure if they would be up for it but it never hurts to ask.

Just cut the 80 in half and call it a 40. the question is which half of the 80 do you cut off...oh...it doesn't matter, it's about to be all yours anyway. sorry Nick :flipoff2:

Holy necropost batman!

Although my fiancé is from Luverne, AL. My wedding is in VA. So I'm to try the general 40 forum.

Lies! No one from Luverne has ever left Luverne, muchless live in Cali!:flipoff2:

I love that town... we used to stop going through there and get boiled peanuts nearly every weekend one summer back in the 80's.

We also played Crenshaw Christian Academy when I went to Sparta.

Wow, this thread sure has taken a different direction from what Miranda originally made it for....:grinpimp:

You guys know your s***. I was just there visiting during a birmingham wedding last week. No peanut boil going on but I did go to the chicken shack. And my fiancé and her brother went to CCA.

OMG! I dated her!
joking! But the chicken shack is good stuff!

With the Luverne connection you need to somehow work boiled green peanuts into the weeding, maybe have them available during that time after the ceremony when the cake is being cut. I would not recommend tossing slimy peanuts instead of rice, but it would be memorable.

wedding or not... boiled peanuts need to be worked in!

Don't you mean "BAWLED PEENUTS"?

Despite the perfectly timed thunderstorm, started right as the ceremony started and ended right as we pulled up to the reception, but thanks to another awesome MUDDER, the foresight to leave the bikini top on, and a well prepared wedding planner, we pulled it off.
