Removing seat back of second row middle seat (1 Viewer)

Is it possible to remove the fold down portion of the middle second row seat?

Goal is to create captains chair like pass through for third row access by kids.

With two forward facing car seats in the outer two middle positions folding the chairs for access isn’t feasible. (And only boosters in 3rd row due to no top tether anchor.)

Asking specifically about an LX 570

I thought we already talked about this? It's a solid no. The seats are a 40/60 split.

We fold the middle seat back down and the kids climb back and forth. My wife and I had no idea it folded down until 3 months in.

There is a thread around with quite a bit of options for four plus car seats. You can for example get a car seat module which will fit four across in the middle row.

I Haven’t seen the discussion, but I bet if you are willing to destroy the middle row you could hack off the 20% middle section, recover the seat bottom and back, and bend up some new anchors. Probably easier to do this if you can weld. All kinds of seats in all kinds of cars are retrofit for racing and rebuilds that do things like this.
