I’m planning to install some rigid scene lights under my rear wing (?) attached to the upper hatch.

This post from @Eric Sarjeant is my inspiration. 2020 Custom Build (3x locked + audio + lights) - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/2020-custom-build-3x-locked-audio-lights.1197338/post-12957151

On that build they used white for backup lights, but I am going to install amber ones for dust lights (doubling as bug friendly camping scene lights).

Had anyone either removed this spoiler or run wires into it while in place that can help me know what to expect when I go to mount and wire them?

There is a few posts mostly about removal and for the life of me I couldn't find them. It is I believe held on with 3M tape and if I remember correctly there are some holes too.

For future searchers, here’s a post from a link in that linked thread with good info:

I’m hoping I can just drill a hole from the hatch side and use a fish wire to guide couple of wires into the hatch and out holes where I will mount the lights…

I removed and sold my spoiler. My memory is it is foam or something filled. There are 5 bolts or clips holding it on. Not too difficult to remove. I would remove, wire and reinstall if you want to keep it. Removing it has too many benefits to me so I have left it off.
