removing rear struts? (1 Viewer)

hi guys

having hard time swaping out the rear struts on 2012 gx460 . i did this previously on the gx470 and all it required was removing top nut of strut and lower bolt on axle. Strut basically just fell down.
On the gx460 after removing the top bolt and lower bolt i noticed there a black washer on top and it seems locked down and compressing the rubber bushing between the chasis and strut. the Strut wont come down and even if it could with the washer thats locked it wouldnt pass the opening of chasis. How the hell do you remove this washer and strut?

nevermind got the struts off. The washers were stuck onto bushing after years of grime and water probably. used a screwdriver and mallet to seperate and the struts popped off as originally expected
