im still in aw that my 62k truck dose not have remote start but here we are. So anyone have any recommends on a remote start??

Funny ... when I bought my 2013, I could not get it without the remote start ... :bang:

Funny... When I bought my '13 I tried it at the lot and haven't used it since.

I have the oem remote start accessory in my 15 and like it. It's got some downside, only runs for 10 mins at a time and will only run twice without a normal "key" start. The range is okay but not great. It's nice not to carry a second aftermarket remote and that it's all plug and play, no wiring is cut during install.

Any dealer should install for around 500 bucks and it's covered under factory warranty.

I use mine all the time just to get the engine a little warm before my 1.5 mile commute.

That is weird, our 2009 came with, it works, don't remember how long it stays running for though?

Only time I use the OE remote start is when there's no drive thru SBux. That way the kid can enjoy climate controlled comfort from the car seat and I won't get arrested for locking him in the car. Of course, due to the Toyota imposed limitations, the beverage line cannot be longer than ten minutes...

Ya the Toyota dealer here told me The range is bad and it's not worth it and to go aftermarket that's why they don't order them with them

I had the same OE system on my 12 Limited Sequoia. The Land Cruiser has three times the range that it had. Still not close to the aftermarket systems. If I were going aftermarket I would really research the installer before I'd let anyone hack up my wiring harness.
