I would like to install Slee 200-series rock sliders on my 2013 Land Cruiser. I have ICON suspension, with the rear remote shock reservoirs mounted on the frame rails (picture attached). I assume I need to relocate the reservoirs to install the sliders, but hoping to confirm. If they need to be removed to install the sliders, I am wondering if there would be room to mount in the same general location after the rock sliders are mounted (on the outside of any rock slider mounting plate that may come into play). I would prefer not to mount the reservoirs inside of the rear tire, as I would like to avoid any clearance issues when the suspension flexes. Thanks in advance for thoughts on this.

Here's how I did it. I have MetalTech sliders, but same problem. I get why Icon makes the hose long as it gets the remote far away from tire debris as well as keeping it up high away from obstacle encroachment. Doesn't play out very well, however, with sliders installed, which I would suppose would be on the majority of vehicles getting this caliber of suspension.

To make it work, I re-purpose one of the slider bolts that is also holding an e-brake clamp. I modified the Icon mount by adding an additional hole. This, however, puts the bolt head in contact with the reservoir. So I modified the bracket by giving it some gull wings. Then rather than angling the hose outlet to the front, mine comes out directly to the side. The clamp on the most rearward e-brake housing holds it nicely. I'm at minimum bend radius for the hose, however I don't feel that I have undue stress on the fittings; they are pretty beefy and I still have a little rotational play in the shock body if I twist hard so I know it's not under limit tension at rest. I do have 1-1/4" spacers which give me plenty of clearance from the hose. If not it would be a tight fit. Even with my spacers, I'm not sure I'd want to run chains on the rear.

I'm not up as high as the intended location, but the reservoir is higher than either the slider or the frame. Still, there could be a rock get up in there and do damage. This would also be the case with the location shown in the directions and even thought it would be maybe 1-1/2" higher up, it also wouldn't have sliders for protection.

For a $2,600 suspension setup where the majority of users have sliders I would have thought that IVD would have sorted this out a little better. A short hose and a bracket similar to my modified one would do the trick and would point the shock outlet forward and away from the tire. If they ever go back in for service I'll make sure to request a shorter hose length.

Not upset as I'm used to engineering in solutions, it just would have been nice to have this a little more PNP. Modifying a truck is a slippery slope; often the benefit of one mod creates a downstream problem for later mods. It's all part of the journey of building a rig.

Thank you very much for the information and pictures! This is exactly what I was looking for.

I have slee sliders and Icons with CDCV. My mechanic made it work. He did have some trouble.
