so i have the napa reman pump. its been on about a year, and from what i read here some have a tendency to go out about then. so its started making an annoying clicking or ratcheting sound. my question is are the guts just disentegrating or is it going to sieze on me? and about how long for that to happen? or is it just noisy and i have nothing to worry about? anyone out there have a similar story?(im sure there is)

I'm not sure why it does it but mine does that too. However, there is nothing inside of it, Im just using it for the pulley. I would like to know as well if it is something to worry about because it is annoying.

My napa smog pump made clicking sounds from the time it was new. Only after a year or so did I start to hear bearing noise. It was intermittent at first, then eventually siezed up (during rush hour of course).

Well actually my bearing seemed fine when I put mine back on. It rolled well even before I repacked it with grease. It may be the case though.
