If ya don't know, I ain't tellin'
I'm thinking of regearing for some larger tires (33s) so I want to go from 3.70 to 4.10 or 4.11. I'm not going to be able to do the work myself, so I want to save some shop $$$.

How much work (hours) is it to replace R&Ps versus replacing the diffs? I can get used R&Ps for under $40 (maybe even free) but the diffs would be $200. So, if getting the diffs saves three hours, I'll do that.

(Woody, we need the "I'm a cheap bastid" smiley here.)

You can't get your gears installed anywhere around here for less than about $150 each(with an install kit).

I'd say just get the used complete diffs. You'll save time and money. And you may be able to sell of your old diffs too... Did I mention where to get complete used FJ62 diffs for $90 each?

Ferg, your a genius--totally forgot I could sell my 3.70s to someone who needs highway speed!

Yeah, I got that, I figure I could get two 62 diffs and shipping for about $200-220.

Thanks, dude!
