Going to hopefully replace my radiator tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if I need red or green antifreeze in my 1995?

Lots of discussion about the merits of both.

Many prefer Toyota Red, what came in your truck.

Myself, Robbie, and others have problems with OAT coolants and run silicate lubricates.

Look in the FAQ, then do a search, read up, and decide for yerself. I found the FAQ discussion limited.

Short answer, either one with a slight preference for red. Whichever you run make sure the old one is FULLY flushed before you switch.

I've got Dexcool in mine (shame on me), I'll be flushing multiple times, then running with water, changing out the water after a couple cycles of running up to temp, maybe doing that a couple times. I expect it to take a week or two, I don't drive it that often if the weather is dry. I think I'll try Zerez G-05 this time, it seems safer than anything else I can find. I've read that mixing fluids can cause big problems. I've also read that phosphates can cause "gelatinous precipitate that blocks the tubes". So I'm going with a phosphate free this time.

Since plain old green is getting hard to find, I would agree with Scottm about running G-05 if I weren't to run the Factory Red.
