Hey all,

Just curious as to what you guys use and where your recovery point is? and if it can be bought online or its a "diy" kinda thing?

Dan

Same as above.

I was going to say that the best units I've seen on the market are from frontline manufacturing in Wacol, under their frontline4x4 line. 16 or 20mm (I can't remember) thick CNC machined plate. but I just went to look for them and found that they're shutting up their 4x4 business tomorrow (08/05/2020) and they were doing a run-out special on their 70 series recovery points for $30/pair, so I bought the entire remaining stock (3 pairs).

Would you be willing to sell a pair? 😅

Odd Iron Off Road has recovery points on their website. Odd Iron' s version is considerably different than the one pictured above.

Which of your trucks are they for? If it's your KZJ70, if it has the same chassis rail setup as my mate's LJ78, then I suspect that neither these nor the Odd Iron/Gun Runner's recovery points will fit. We ended up making some custom ones from flat plate for my friend's LJ78, there were pictures in another thread. One minute, I'll go for a look and post a link.

Alternatively, if they're for your FZJ70, then I think you're all good.

It's for my fzj70.

Ah, all good then. I certainly don't need three sets of recovery points (honestly, I don't need any, I'll potentially give one set to a mate with a BJ74 but that still leaves me with two spare sets. I'm not sure about shipping to Jamaica, I just tried the Australia Post website and they said they don't do parcels to Jamaica.

How practical are you? Do you have a provider of CNC (laser/plasma/waterjet/oxy) profile cutting? If so, I can go hunting for the DXF files for the recovery points I drew up for my landcruiser a decade ago but never got made.

I did find the discussion thread where I'd posted the points we made for my mate's LJ78.

I have a shipping company in Miami FL I send all my stuff to. They bring it here to me in Jamaica. If your willing to sell and can ship it to miami. Let's talk on it

Can that recovery point be used without an arb bumper or was it designed to work with it?

They made some for my factory chrome bumper with pto winch.

oh well i dont have a factory bumper at the moment. i have on a bumper i made at home. Maybe it will still work? or do you have a pic can send to me so i can see where it is bolted to?

thanks

Heya, I'm looking for some recovery points as well. For a BJ74, with factory bumper, with PTO winch. @hotgemini still got any of those sets? Do they work with the factory bumper? And are they attached to the bumper? or the chassis?

I'm based in Australia.
