I need to make some adjustments to my front wheel placement to try an eliminate some rubs associated with my new 34's. I'm going to play with adjusting caster by adjusting my SPC UCAs to see if I can pull the wheel back a bit to get id off the KDSS linlake at full lock. After I do this, I want to take it to a shop and dial in the rest of the alignment. looking for a good shop that is used to lifted 4x4s and adjustable UCAs.

Have you relocated the KDSS bar with the Slee kit?
I have used Burnett (12000 W 135th St location) for vehicles with 35" tires with excellent results. Other stores weren't able to accomodate the same truck.
I haven’t installed the Slee bracket but I think I’m headed there. I need to research that a little more to make sure I understand what else needs to happen to the sway bar links.

If I only play with caster adjustment on the UCA, is there any chance I can get by without getting a full alignment? I suspect I’ll go down the path of the KDDS relo but not for a few weeks. Burnett want $250 for the alignment so I’d like to only do that once. The thing is I’d need to drive the rig ~200 miles before I can get the relo installed. I’m afraid of messing my new tires up if I jack the alignment up by playing with UCA adjustment.

Maybe the best plan is to just wait and do the relo and alignment at the same time.

Yes wait

thanks. do you think it would be possible to play with the SPC UCA adjustment to see what's possible but put them back to where they are now? There are defined caster positions and I could mark where it is now to enable putting it back to where it was. The only reason I want to play is to figure out if I really need the relo. I know there are some 200's out there that were able to make caster adjustment work.

If you mark it it will be close. But not 100%..any change directly affects all aspects of the alignment.

A little bit of movement could be a lot of toe in change. Which will kill tires quickly

Damn, sounds like I need to adjust my price. They charged me $100 for my two wheel front end on the 60.

That’s what I thought when I saw the price tag.. the last 200 we aligned I charged $85..
I think I spooked them when I said I was fitting oversized tires and was lifted with lots of aftermarket stuff. I just wanted to be clear as some alignment shops don't like dealing with that.

That’s very smart and honestly the way we wish everyone was.

Generally 200s align relatively easy. But I definitely am cautious about pricing them as I’m sure they are as well.

As a point of reference, I just had my LX470 done at Burnett at Quivira and College. $140 for a three year alignment if you're part of the KC Toyota Club. It's $90 for a 6 month alignment.

I didn't know about this club. I don't see on there website how to join but I didn't request to join their FB group.

Just tell the manager or whoever you’re dealing with that you’re with TAC. They should know.

Unless I'm mistaken, it's a very informal club that doesn't have an official roster or dues. I just joined the Facebook group, and boom, Bob's your uncle.

Barnett (Quivira &135) guys are great! They were able to locate new tires to eliminate rocker panel rubs without making KDSS run noticeably any worse. Thanks all for recommendation.

No club discount so pricy relative to other tire shops and even Olathe Toyota but worth it to have it right and deal with people who listen to what what you want and be willing to dial in what you are trying to do. The actually sell, and have on display, adjustable UCA's so they see lifted trucks and aren't afraid to work on them. They are even willing to look at welding my panhard drop bracket.

Jack's on getting a TAC discount potentially lined up. Barnett (Jordan) was willing to talk about it.

We put the 2.5 OME lift and Panhard's on our rig this weekend. I just called Burnett's. Super friendly and not intimidated at all. He quoted me $115 for 1yr and $175 for 3yr alignment warranty....How does that work given the nature of environments these vehicles get thrown at! Anyway, another reference that Burnetts is a good option.

Burnett is good. I know the group of owners well. Would recommend.
