Hi all,

I recently bought a 96 Land Cruiser but it has an issue with the rubber fuel filler hoses connecting to the tank from the hard fuel and breather fill lines. I’ve got the parts on order but I don’t currently have the tools or space to drop the tank with my current apartment situation. Does anyone know of a good Land Cruiser mechanic in/around Detroit that would be willing to drop the tank and replace these few parts? I would be willing to help too if needed.

Thanks

My uncle used to know a guy named Glen that was the only guy who he would let touch his ‘93 80 series. Apparently he is at the Lexus dealer in Ann Arbor now. I don’t have his contact info, but may be worth a call to see if you can talk with him.

I can’t speak for the Detroit area, but there is a guy at Crown in Holland who is their Landcruiser specialist.

I did see him brought up in the other threads I looked up, but holland is unfortunately a little too far right now since filling the tank with any amount of gas results in a big leak. Will keep him in mind for the future though!

Will try and reach out to him if I don’t get a response from ragnarok soon!

Auto Shop in Monroe, MI | Ragnarok Motorworks - https://www.ragnarokmotorworksmi.com/ in Monroe, ask for Dennis. He did the suspension bushings and some exhaust work on my 80, great guy and fair rates. He has a few 80s and 100s.

If you find the Lexus guy in Ann Arbor let me know!

Reached out to them via the form on their website, might call too. I’ll let you guys know how it goes if I do end up calling for glen. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Hey all, while I did end up getting a quote from Dennis, I was able to do the job without having to drop the tank. Never got to calling the lexus guy but will keep him in mind if I need anything else. Thanks all!
