My new (to me) 01' LX needs exhaust headers replaced. I have the replacements at hand but am really struggling to find a decent reliable shop to do the job.
Any recommendations in or near Madison will be very mush appreciated.

I can highly recommend Klamm Automotive here in Racine. Been using them for over 30 years. Small family owned busiess that you can trust. Feel free to PM me to discuss on the phone.

Thanks Drake - this recommendation coming from you is especially valuable. I wish they were a bit closer tho. It is about 2 hours each way for me but I will keep them in mind.

My partner’s coworkers always recommend the Westside Service Center over by the Home Depot, but I have no experience with them myself.

Did you have the headers installed @ClassyJalopy ? If so, where did you end up going, what did it run and were you happy with the shop? I've been contemplating replacing headers for a while but my tick isn't too bad yet so it hasn't been a priority.

Only shop I've had significant work done at locally is Turn Two. They did all my brake rotors, pads, and wheel bearings a bit back. They did a good job but were pricey. I think it was up toward a grand without parts.

I had been going to Capitol Tire for my tire work but they wanted a big premium on new tires and seemed like they nickel and dimed with fees whenever I had them swapping sets. I switched to using Discount Tire on Verona Rd and have been happy with them.

I replaced the passenger side header myself in abt 3 hours. Since that seemed to cut down most of the noise I never bothered with the driver side.
I have had really good experience at J and L 4wd shop. They are good, honest shop but not the least expensive imo. For comparison they quoted me $500 to repack front bearings (parts and labor)!

For tires, I love the discount tires! There service is top notch and they match prices. I mist have bought at least ten sets of tires from them so far.

Almost anything - Kelly Moss Road and Race. Their hourly rate is great and the work is top-notch.

Tires: Costco. Just dropped off my 200 there for winter tires.
Wow! KMR is like almost one of a kind Porsche and European racing specialty shop. I didn't know they worked on street cars too. I have always been too scared to ask about their hourly rates!

Its like $110ish. Cheaper than any dealer...

They did all the work on my 100 series a couple of years ago.

I've been using Capitol Tire and Service for 8 years, they are great. They haven't worked on my '04 LC yet, but I'm planning to have them do my exhaust headers here soon. Highly recommend based on quality of service and honesty. Haven't used Westside but their reviews are great!
Hey @fluffybackpack did you ever get your exhaust headers done?
