Putting PS into the Troopy. My schedule does not permit a 2 month min on this that it would take me with my work schedule. Can someone chime in on a recommendation who can do some minor fab work and would do a pro job at putting in a mini-truck PS into my FJ45?

I've got the pump & res, steering box, line stubs, &c.

Thx,

There are a few fabbers on the board from what i've heard but I don't know any of them. I can do the work if you want, and you can see my 40 and 62 in person which I've done everything on if you want to come by my house. PM me if you are interested.

so you don't want to get a new dealer 40 series PS housing- stick the mini truck guts into it (rebuilt) and just bolt it on in an evening?

if you have a 1981-1984 truck, the stub shaft of the steering column comes off, it will be cut down from 180mm over all to 120mm overall and new crosspin drilled through (or find a PS lower column- double check these measurements with the 40 series tech board). The rubber boot at end of steering column should be replaced with new (held in by C clip)

You can have the PS bracket, pump, and cooler mounted in advance. (assuming 1979 or later 2F).

ideas about this?????????
