Putting a deposit down on a clean 80. Will send it through an inspect first part of next week. If all goes well, will be purchasing EMU suspension, bumpers, winch, etc...

Any advice with respect to a good shop in the greater atlanta, ga area that works on 80's who can install the lift, tires, bumpers, etc. is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help in advance.

x2 on ACC good group of guys there. Im sure they'd be glad to help, but all the items you mention are rather easy to bolt on in an afternoon.

Welcome to mud:flipoff2: I take it youll be bringin the chicken to the meetings ?

X3 on ACC. No other options in my opinion. They have a ton of LC experience and knowledge. Brian drives and wheels an 80 as well. Welcome to the greatest off road wagon ever!

x4 on ACC I was just over there saturday for them to install my Aussie, great guys!

Me too

ACC did great work for me and stood behind it when a new factory Toyota part was defective.

They know how to run a business and keep the customers happy.

Another satisfied ACC customer- did my dual battery install and get compliments all the time on the clean install.

The accessories that you have listed for your 80 are primarily bolt-on items which could be installed by numerous shops/garages in the area. However for your consideration; inherent in buying a used truck, there maybe other maintenance/repair items that could require attention. Going with a highly regarded shop like ACC that is very familiar with the 80 series truck, you would put the right people working on your truck to spot such items and deal with them correctly.

Congrats on picking up the 80. Finally, what part of the metro area are you in?

Not like they need another plug, but ACC did a bunch for me and I can't say enough about the quality of their service. Pretty decent guys too. :grinpimp:

What is up my 80 brotha's from another motha. did not even know there was a GA forum. typical newbie mistake I am sure...Glad that they moved this to the correct section either way. As for the chicken, damn right I'll be deep fryin.

With respect to ACC, I will bring the truck by to have it inspected prior to purchase and perhaps then they could install all of the goodies after the sale

What should I budget for regarding $$ on the suspension install?

Thanks again for the warm welcome :hillbilly:

Sorry, but I installed the lift in my wife's 95 myself so I didn't even price a shop doing it. I got an Ironman lift kit off ebay delivered to the door for a little over $500. At the time, this appeared to be good price and I have not kept up with prices since. In addition to the kit, I bought the caster correction bushings and press plugs (to press out the old bushings and press in the new ones) from Slee.

Regardless; when you have the truck inspected by ACC, ask them what the current prices would be. They probably get 'jobber rates' on purchasing lifts and accessories that may not be available to you.

Larry-

Do appreciate the reply and will check into the rates. Sounds like a pretty simple job. I may just do it on my own and save the coin.

Just did some research and it looks as if there are kits out there that do not require a press. specifically the man-a-fre option.

I bought a kit from Man-a-fre for my 80 series, just a word to the wise... stay away from the front control arm drop brackets. Best bet is to go with the OME or Slee bushing option.

They did a great job on a welding some end caps on my frame rails. I greatly appreciated that they were willing to do this for me. My ARB bumper fit perfectly:)
