Ok, so I bought an LJ71 with that damn 2L engine. I blew the head and have just had the engine comepletely rebuilt. Is there a way to avoid this in the future? I've heard overheating may be the problem, and installing a heat gauge is a good idea. Anyone know where this should go, or recommend a good gauge? Any other tips on how to make it last would be much appreciated.

Hi Eric welcome to the board.

Try searching some key words, like "pyro" or "pyrometer" etc. Also temp. Head, etc.

Look around at the guys who run them on here, Like Denis, Lightduty, and more... Check there posts. Also maybe PM them. There are some fans of the lightduty cruisers here who have some tips/pointers that may help.
