Here's some pics of my rear bumper I rebuilt after the rockstomper hinge snapped.

I used the Ironpig hinges & they worked GREAT!

That turned out really well. How much did the IronPig hinges cost you? Any pics of it open?

How did the Rockstomper spindle snap? Just during normal use or did something happen?

Just normal use. it fatigued overtime & just snapped as I was driving down a smooth dirt road. luckly my pin latch kept the tire carrier on. If it would have snapped on the freeway it could have killed someone.

This is a real common failure of the 1" trailer spindles.

Rear trimmed...right??

Looks like the qtr's are trimmed up....true? That's an awesome bumper....

Would it take alot or be impossible to design one like that for un-trimmed rear quarters? That is, is it tough to get the rear-qtr protection designed to go under, then back up? (hmmm....I think I just made it "clear as mud")

Seems like no one is making them liek that to "bolt on", and I use that term loosely, for rears with all the sheet metal...

the rocker sliders are seperate from the bumper. you could build the bumper like I have it w/o the rocker protection & then figure out some way of making protection for the rocker. unfortunately the rocker hangs down way below the frame so it would be difficult to design something that still has clearance to go below the rocker w/o chopping it.

Damn, Sixty, that looks GOOD! Love the color, love the placement of the tire and the three cans. Sweet!

Thanks, The color has really grown on me. when I first painted it I was really wanting a semi-mustard color but when I went to pick the paint color my wife talked me into yellow. We picked the color under incandescent lighting so it did not look as bright. as we were painting it, it just kept getting brighter & brighter so I got kind of turned off.... now I really like it.

I placed the cans & tire real high at the sacrafice of raising my COG (this was a tough decisions cause its alread tippy) so they would be out of my departure angle (just bareley) cause I always drag the rear.
