well shocking story
RED was handling like a BAG of CRAP the REAR sway bar had snapped of on the TOman TRIp the weekend before
WOrkshop said yuour shocks are all GONE so I contacted MErvin the 2011 RFC champ and he said bring them down as he is a AMADA EXTREME dealer and after my dealings with MUN LEE a 1.5 hour drive was nothing to worry about.
WHat Mervin discovered
1. Shocks were not DEGASSED and in fact still sitting on 100psi so the leaking issue with AMADA appears to be gone on the newer models.
2. Left front shock not installed correctly and bottom bolt was undone
Problem found see the pic
Mervin pulls the shock and I learn how to rebuild.
and it is redampened to a stiffer damping and rebound is changed and I refill it to 100PSI of Nitrogen lesson over.
Then the right shock is removed
Then it rains on us.
The shock under repair. Note this one had a completely different set of rebound and rates compared to the other front. They are now the same.
Then we went and had LUNCH and came back and took RED for a RUN I tossed Mervin the keys the RFC 2011 Champion gets a shock RED spins the wheels coming out of a CORNER in 3rd and hooks sideways hahaha.
Front shocks and springs now PERFECT and the REARS need the same change I will go back in a couple of week and do the rears. WE organise what to do with the VOlvo I will give him the weights etc and he will work out the new PIGGYBACK Amada Extreme shocks for it.
I go away happy I am conserving my shocks and rebuilding them its much better for the environment.
AMADA have also fixed most of their design issues and new higher quality shocks are out on the market leakage seems to be no longer an issue.
I got two shocks rebuilt for $320rm and this is $800rm less than buying two new shocks and who needs imported FOX shocks when I can go down and enjoy food with the local AMADA dealer in MELACCA hahahaha
