Rear Window - any non $900 dealer options?

My 8 year old "helping" unload the truck smashed the rear window. My glass shop says they can only get it from the dealer for 900 plus bucks. They said their non-OEM glass folks can't get the proper piece? Anyone have a contact to help me out? Thanks a bunch - Doss

Do you have insurance? Might not be bad to check and see if you can get it covered under comprehensive.

If not, you can call around to junk yards, etc. parthotlines.com looks like they have some. LKQ can usually get whatever you need.

Car-part.com has a good search tool also.

That's a bummer. Reminds me when my buddies 3 year old savaged the body of one of his cars with a screwdriver (fixing the car).

When my back window was shot out I had SafeLite replace it. It was around $400. I told them it was a 2006 so I got the nice black glass, instead of the reflective.
