During my drive today I watched the temp the whole time. It took about 16 minutes to go from 16C to 21C in 1C increments then all of a sudden it jumped from 21C to 27C. Now that I think about it I think there is some delay in these temp sensors as I remember even the stock temp readout on the heater controls of my 200 series took a long time to go back to the normal ambient temp reading after a short river crossing which made the temp readout drop

So I thought I'd post an update on my mirror install to hopefully help others out. This is on a 93 and I am guessing it would be pretty much the same for a 94. It is a bit more difficult since we have the soft headliner. I used the permatex glue to secure the button on to the windshield. So far it seems to be working. I think the trick is to be sure the window, button, and glue are all the same temp. I was able to get the constant 12v from the grey wire on the harness for the overhead light. Don't be tempted like I was to get your switched 12v from the sunroof switch. Yes it appears it is a switched 12v source, but when I connected my mirror up to it for some reason the extra load would drop the voltage to like 1.5v and the mirror would not work. Not sure exactly why so I had to move on to the blue\black wire in the main harness up further in the hole. It was a bit of a pain to get to, but I was able to the a T tap in there. Ground was found from a small screw on the sunroof mechanism. I then ran the wire for the temp probe under the windshield gasket across the pass side, down the a piller, under the dash and out the rubber grommet in the firewall closest to the fender. I then mounted the probe to the bumper support. Which is right behind the vents in the bumper. This way the probe gets some airflow. Anyhow here are some pics to help sum it up..

All in All I am very happy with the way it turned out. It is nice to have some modern creature comforts. Temp seems to be working well.. Homelink garage door opener is wonderful. Auto dimming works great. I think I need to calabrate the compass as it seems a bit off. This is a fun under $50 mod that is pretty easy to do.. Give it a go if ya have not already. Can't believe it has taken be over 3 years to do it lol..

Anyone know what pins the Gentex 10 pin harness uses ?

it's not molex... I've pulled the locking tab up - but I can't find anything small enough to slide into the pin release hole at the front of the connector to remove the pins...
