I'm thinking a small electric winch/hoist to raise/lower the unit should do the trick!!! Or grab the winch hook from the front bumper, string the cable over the roof rack and attach it to the tire swing down?

Hmmm, nice idea. Just would have to be concerned with the cable and how to tuck the motor into the ARB rack.

I've got 2 sets of gas struts to try with it also. But, I like the winch idea also...
