Tried searching but all results are talking complete lift kits...

It's time for me to finally replace the rear air springs on my '05 Sport GX and I'm hoping to get some input on what springs folks have gone with for the best ride comfort with a 2" lift. I'm currently running TRD coilvers up front with icon upper control arms + TRD shocks out back with the airbag trick to bring the height up.

Since I only need springs and a coil conversion kit, I'm wondering what springs I should look to. OME is my first thought given their record, but I'm not sure which spring to order for the right lift/ride quality.

Cheers!

First, make sure you know that the SSO coil conversion kit gives you extra lift. If you don't want extra lift, then consider the MetalTech coil conversion kit. You can buy the kit with or without isolators. Some people get used 4Runner isolators at a junk yard for a lot less than the new Toyota OEM isolators cost.

OME rear springs have a reputation for being a little stiff. The specs say their load rate is higher at 260 lbs/in than most other brands. So, I wouldn't recommend OME unless you plan to carry some weight in the back.

I don't know enough about the TRD rear shocks to recommend a good set of rear springs to go with your suspension.

I personally run variable spring rate Dobinson coils in the rear, but these only come in extended lengths starting at a little over 2” lift (depending on a few factors) and your shocks might not be long enough for these coils. However, the Dobinson linear coils seem to have a more friendly spring load rate (like at 220 lbs/in) and they come in various heights, so look at Dobinson.

I am on my second set of Dobinson's because I added a bumper and tire carrier and both have had a great ride. The ride is similar to the "sport" setting of the stock suspension. My wife approves too, if that helps :)

I just went with Iron Man (springs and nitro gas shocks/struts, front and rear). I too wanted to keep the factory ride but add about 1.5-2” of lift.
I ordered the “stock firmness” springs...gave me about 1.5” in the rear. Ride is great, really no different than stock. Looks better too.
