Good day guys,

I have done some searching and reading in the forum looking for more details on the rear OEM spoiler/wing that was standard on most LX 470 and some 06 and 07 LC.
I understand there are two styles, the one that is more like a powder coated wing and the one that is color coded and has the stop light integrated on it.

I'm looking for the last one. Color coded with stop light.

I know this is not a popular exterior accessory among most of the members here but I like the way it looks.

I have a couple of questions....

Is this wing or spoiler the same for either a LX or a LC?

I have been searching a while now to find a used one but so far I have found several aftermarket abs plastic ones on eBay. Has any one bought any of this spoilers? Are they any good?

Thanks for the feedback.

l removed my "S-10 Blazer" wing the weekend I bought my Cruiser. It dated the vehicle too much and in my area, te need to blow dust off the rear isn't a big deal. If I could find the big OEM LX spoiler, I'd put it on in a heartbeat. I like the look. The eBay ones have mixed reviews.

Mine has a color coded wing and I don't like it.
I would like to take it off but I will have to buy a brake light and I will have some holes to fill up.

Yes that's the one I'm looking for let me know if you decide to pull the trigger.
I'm not sure if your tail gate has the stop light slot built in or if it has a cover on the place where the stop light goes I could need that as well. We could probably swap some parts and of course the difference in cash.

Okay, I will let you know.

I am still contemplating because I will have to plug a couple of holes and I am not sure if that will turn out acceptable. Here is a removal thread where you can see the plugged holes. Maybe it will look better in black. :meh:

Mine has the cover where the brake light goes so I will need the brake light etc.. We could probably work something out although shipping could be an issue and you will have to paint it because mine is black. Where are you located?

Rear Spoiler LX Style

This is the big spoiler that I am running with. I think it looks good if you want a sporty look.

Schow, is that the factory Spoiler? Does it mount to the existing holes?

ENGINE er, that's not factory spoiler. I pick that up when I went to Asia many years ago. But once in a while I see knock off of this on ebay. So far, I haven't seen another TLC has this wing around yet.

Update: I just check ebay, and there are few of the similar spoiler listed.

I just noticed I'm located really far away from you. I'm In El Paso Texas

Okay, I will let you know.

2,194 miles, 36 hours of no stop :steer: and back is 2,194 mi, 36 hours too. :p

Shipping might be an option, but it is quite bulky and it will take at least two weeks two get here. I order stuff from CCOT in Texas and it always takes a while to get it.

Sorry for my ignorance but what store is CCOT, I'm new around the forum.
Thanks

Cool Cruisers of Texas, established in 1989, is the "Nation's Foremost Restorer of Toyota Land Cruisers". They deal exclusively in Land Cruisers of model years 1975 thru 2005.

I have a FJ40 too and sometimes need parts and stuff. They are the best when it comes to communication, pricing and shipping. Overall a great source. I've looked, but they don't have a '06 rear spoiler, but if you need anything else, I can highly recommend them.
