Who's Dot?

Sorry typo, was late when I was writing last night:doh:

Can anyone with a FSM look this up for me.

THanks

You could rip them off and then install the fancy grill covers with replacement speakers.

this seems like a real pain in the arse? why would toyota make it so labor intensive to replace two lousy speakers

I found out the hard way they don't when I removed those two useless POS speakers....but they do glue back nicely:)

Thanks all, that is what I needed to hear. I will put my crow bar down and walk away.

I was going to pop them off so the body shop could access the roof rack holes (I got rid of that POS) and slip some sheet metal in there to protect the headliner. They are going to weld 16 holes on my roof, sand and paint the whole roof. The front 8 holes are easy just tilt up the sunroof and you can access all 8 front holes to cover them from the back before welding.

Hopefully they can pull down the headliner just a bit from the rear to access the holes before welding and flaming it.

well, keep in mind that the headliner is pretty weak and very expensive. I would tread very carefully in asking the shop to pull it a bit. High likelihood of damage if they are not very careful. Be sure you are covered for all possible damage.

Will do!
Can't wait to see the roof all clean with no rust holes and no F:censor: roof rack!

 Then I can put some OME springs on her!

You should do a search for T Y L E R's roof rack removal and line-x ing the roof to cover the holes. Pretty slick.

I did and it is nice, I almost went that route but I got a good price on a nice paint job by my local body shop. I would rather see it back to OEM. Plus there was some damage and rust from where the PO had a sunroof wind guard that I also took off.
