Howdy all.
It's 5.25am here but i'm gonna ask a question before i go to bed.
i was rewiring my stereo in my 60 today and wondered if anyone on MUD has made storage boxes or something in the rear quarters of their truck.
i was thinking of fixing something up so i could put my 2 amps in there but i am stuck for ideas.
could be because its really early in the morning and i need sleep.
has anyone done something with that space back there?
would be great if someone could help me out with some pictures or something.
excellent.
thankye.:)

that's nice but what would be really cool is to find some way to take advantage of all that wasted space in the tailgate :D

Tailgate, hell.
Noone would ever think to make custom storage under the front seats.
Yep, that's never gonna happen:grinpimp:

just a suggestion, but might want to install some sort of vent & cooling fan inside the panel. especially if you are running one amp for subs, it will get hot in there.

Naw, you guys are missing the biggest gold mine of untaped storage yet, the front fenders. :flipoff2:

Just imagine, front fender tool boxes, working on your engine, need a wrench? Dont even get of the bumper. Oh yeah.

the sad thing is that I actually have a few pages of sketches for that, I have a problem.

The heat has a pretty good escape route up the C and D pillars, but if you wanted you could tap into the rear cabin vent duct and allow heat to escape there.

I got that. :grinpimp:

When a 60 is totally desmogged there is a "tray" left behind that all the VSV's were mounted to. It's flat and has a number of 8mm threaded holes. Set a metal toolbox on there, scribe up through the bolt holes, drill the bottom of the box and bolt it down.

Use a METAL toolbox due to proximity of the headers.

This is a GREAT idea.... hmmmm. Looks like the emphasis on METAL comes from a trial and error situation... :D
