so i got a set of tubes bent for some rear quarter protection off of my rear quarter sliders. most of the wagons that see the trail here in New England tend to not only land on the rear quarters but also doe to the tightness of most of the trails they suffer from tree bashes as well. so these guys should serve as nice tree sliders for the rear quarters

Looking good, Jason! Our trucks aren't getting any lighter, are they? :)

That is sharp.

When you welded in the new quarters, why did you make a lip on the bottom edge? Does it serve a purpose?

Thanks. Oleg and his brother, Yuri, do some great work. I asked him why he did the spot welded seam at the botton and he said "That's the way it is supposed to be done. " It's just like the way factory does it and for strength and rigidity is my guess. Looks much like stock this way.
Here's a link to a project that Oleg did the body work on for Christo Slee: http://sleeoffroad.com/technical/vlakvark/vlakvark_main.htm

Steve, looks super. How bout a pic from a little further back?

GT,
I'll try to take one tonight so you can see how the little sliders mirror the Slee sliders.
Here is a project that has Oleg's mark on it:
