What are some of you guys running? I've heard the aussie lockers are nice & easy but ratchet pretty loud when turning. I was recommended a detroit tru-trac for more daily driving & light/medium offroad use. is $400 about the norm for a new one?

Sean, I put an Aussie in the front of the BJ after GSMTR and it did make some noise when testing after installation. However, it never made any noticable popping sounds in three days of wheeling at Coal Miner's in July. I have not been on the trails since, so I don't have any additional experience with it yet that I can share.

I run a Detroit locker in the back of my FJ-40, it can be a little harsh on the road and PITA on icy roads as it locks and unlocks. I set up my wagon for more highway use so I put an ARB air locker in it.
