Rear Liftgate Electrical ?

Has anyone had any problems with power on the rear liftgate. I am not getting power to my rear wiper or the third brakelight. My rear wiper washer sprayer sprays but i assume that is due to the motor being located on the resivoir. Any help would be great. I believe in some archives i had seen something mentioning ground isuues but i am not sure. Thanks in advance.

It does sound like a ground failure.

Can you trace the ground wire to find the ground point?

Are your tail lights still working?

only thing that is not working is the defroster the rear wiper and the third brake light, so everything in liftgate. when i shut the liftgate the thirda brake light will light up for a split second when i shut it, but does not continue to work.
