rear license plate assembly

i was poking around on the ( i thought) surface pitting on my rear plate assembly, and found out that the chrome was the only thing holding the whole thing together.
has anyone retrod a 40 series to the 60?
i see SOR has an after market for around 75 bucks, any good?

i took it apart, and its, excpt for the gasket) pretty shot..rusted, corroded, you know.

any ideas?

I've used that SOR aftermarket one and it worked great.

You could always try hitting the classifieds section with a want ad.

I've got a CA rust-free one I could sell you for that price. Complete.

the whole deal, maybe not bulbs?Not as solid as OEM but it is a license plate light!
