Ordinarily I stick to Cruiser Tech but....
The guys from Front Range Off Road told me 2yrs ago that they had a full floater kit for the rear of Toy Minis. Anybody got one? Know anything about 'em?
They also told me they are developing a similar kit for the FJ40. I talked to 'em over Easter and they had 1 fullfloater mounted on one side of an axle housing. They claim to have a prototype that they have not had time to product test because you Pickup guys keep em too busy. I'd like some input, any information good or bad on their products, especially the full floater kit. Can anyone help?

FROR emailed me today and said they have kits for the 95 and newer trucks only at ths time.

I have a FROR full floater in the 1984 rear end of my rig. GREAT product. I used 1985 front disk breakes when I put the kit together. I used flange plates off a FJ80 cruiser INSTEAD of locking hubs back there. I didnt want hubs back there.

Over all a great kit.

Cool - Anyone else?

I know a few people running the Taco kit. They were pleased with the quality, etc. of the parts.

The Taco guys are keeping FROR very busy with our needs:)

Thanks for the endosements. FROR just contacted me and said they are tooling up for the axle on the long side of the FJ rear and hope to set me up soon.

simply, yes,
purely from a maintenance point of view, though braking also improves.
