Starting the project of swapping over a 1989 FJ62 frame to my 1985 FJ60 and looking to address a little rust spot on the back section of the frame. Other than this spot and the c-channels, the frame is solid. What are the best ways to deal with this rust spot? Just cut out the spots and patch it or replace the entire section?

Thanks!

It would be a challenge to find a replacement section in good shape worthy of a transfer. I know @TRAIL TAILOR made these at one point but not sure if he's still making them. He definitely has the C-Channels in stock and I just replaced mine. Pretty straightforward, especially since you have the frame out.

Thank you! I've been eyeing the C-Channels from TT so I will see if they also do the rear end section. Not likely I will find a good one up here in Vermont and probably not reasonable to ship. Thanks for the tip!

I have a rear section that I just cut out of my frame as I also purchased a rear bumper from Trail Tailor that deletes that part anyways. I just looked at mine and you are welcome to it if that's of interest. I'll be up in VT in the Manchester area 19-20th October. I could bring it up then if you want.
