Hi All,

I'm trying to track down the part number for the small short extension piece which fits between the front section of the rear flare and the step.

In Australia our steps (running boards) are different and don't have this flare extension piece.

I've fitted some Slee sliders and having removed the factory steps there is now a large gap.

This piece which seems to only be fitted to US trucks will fill the void nicely.

BTW - is this fixed to the door or the sill and is there fixing hardware to fit it that is required as well...?

Many thanks for your help in advance,

Mark...:)

I bought a set of rear flares for the left side and the extension came bolted to the piece for the door. These were used, so don't know if it come as part of the flare from OEM or not. I removed it because our truck was running board-less even when new, a good thing IMO.

I think this is the part you're discussing, a left side version anyway.

Inside at the top is a metal plate that has a plastic rivet and a molded in nut for what looks like a 10mm bolt to attach it to the main part of the flare that mounts on the rear left door..

I see no part number anywhere. I didn't pull the metal plate to see if it's under there, but this suggests it might indeed be considered as part of an part assembly for NA spec trucks with running boards.

EDIT: I pulled the metal plate after cutting the rivit and there's no #s under there, either.

Possibly never sold. It might’ve only been available as part of the US running board kit. You shouldn’t have much trouble find a used pair.
