Being bored at work I took a few hours and built a bumper in Google SketchUp. Very slick program once you learn how to use it.
The only thing it's missing is I'd like to have a receiver in the middle for light towing or an additional recovery point. The rollers for the winch cable are probably a bit too close to the center too, they'd be closer to the left fairlead. (I'm planning on running a rear mounted front/rear winch.)
My main focus for it was departure angle. I will be cutting off the factory cross member to improve clearance.
I also wanted it simple/easy to build, so that's why it's very angular.
Next step, remove the factory rear bumper and cut off the cross-member, then mock-up the bumper with cardboard.
