My mechanic showed me that oil was leaking from the rear axle. He took it apart and he is having trouble finding the "hub" that holds the bearing on the rear axle / right side. I am in the Los Angeles area, I appreciate any help locating this part. Thanks

Probably best to take it to a mechanic that is familiar with our rear axle bearing assembly...not for the faint at heart nor lack of experience. You're going to want to replace the seal obviously along with, at minimum and quite possibly although it would be good to know more about where the diff lube is leaking at the axle end, the sealed cartridge style bearing and the ABS sensor ring that gets destroyed disassembling the axle. Not typically going to find those parts sitting on the shelf.

Check the diff vent to be sure it is free flowing before you roll post repair.

Thank you, I will keep calling around for the parts.

^ To add to your parts list: There's a press on collar that retains the hub end bearings/components to the axle. This is what gets ground off in the removal process. The ABS sensor ring may or may not get damaged apart of removing the bearings, etc. I had to replace mine each time we R&R'd the rear axle bearings...
