SoCal80s,

DO I HAVE A STORY ABOUT A COUPLE OF ANTENNA MOUNTS THAT TRAVELED TO THE EAST COAST AND BACK...

I had my wife ship these mounts on October 05, 2012, 1:44 pm as I had already taken off to the 'SoCal Mountain Rendezvous 2012' and she was meeting me later with the kids in the other Cruiser.

When WieredBeard contacted me Tuesday the 9th at 10:27 pm about the mounts I was surprised that he hadn't received them. I ran the tracking and the USPS had his mounts in KEARNY, NJ 07032

Talk about a royal screw up.

Before I can call the USPS the next morning I checked the tracking and the mounts were at the sort facility in SANTA CLARITA, CA 91383 at 1:43 am and they were delivered to WieredBeard at October 10, 2012, 11:04 am

I'm sure glad I shipped these mounts with tracking. In CA these puppies get delivered the next day.

He confirmed he received them and can tell all his friends that his mounts traveled to the Jersey Shores.

I am mistaken or does it leans to the outside of the truck? If so, can they be made straight up? :D

Finally got around to moving my Firestik CB antenna to the rear of the Cruiser, thanks to the use of one of Frank's mounts.

Beefier gate mount?

I am looking to install a Codan 9350 Antenna on the gate of my FZJ80. The installation specs call for a 10-12mm thick mounting plate. I am pretty sure 10mm will fit in the space provided. Have you made anything heavier?

Frank does a really sweet job with these mounts as the design, the welds and the wrinkle finish are beautiful. These things are so stout you could probable use them as a step to gain access to the roof. Not recommending this of course but they are LC tough for sure. Great solution for reverse /work lights as they are usable with the tailgate open or closed. Glad I ordered!!
