My rear A/C used to work very well with powerful air movement and changing the fan speed would adjust the blowing up/down accordingly. As of late the air barely trickles out out of the vents and changing the fan speed has no impact on the air flow. Does anyone have any idea of what the issue could be? Thanks in advance! I searched the forum but couldn't find any previous posts regarding a similar issue.

Can you hear the fan back there change speeds according to what you are asking of it? (As in, things may be blocked.)

Or no audible change in fan speed?

I can hear the fan speed changes from that vent in the rear cargo area(drivers side, that vent on the wall). The air blowing from the vents in the ceiling do not change and the air barely trickles out of them. Yes, it seems as if there is a blockage somewhere. Is there a cabin filter back there somewhere?

No filter back there - I'd bet the fan is on the way out. That was a similar symptom to mine. You can test it without actually disconnecting the lines, but you have to remove 3rd row driver side seat and pop the panel back to access it.

It's a 2021 Heritage Edition, so no third row to worry about. Seems awfully soon for a fan to wear out. I'll see if I can figure out how to remove the panel. I do have an extended warranty so may see if it's covered by the dealer.

I’d be shocked if the motor had gone out in five years.

Any chance there was a bunch of stuff blowing around in the back that could have clogged up the AC or heater core?

Agreed there is no cabin filter back there. Stuff in the air just goes straight to those cores.

Just some dog hair from time to time floating around back there, I wouldn't think that there has ever been enough to cause a clog somewhere. Currently my cargo area is empty and is empty the majority of the time.

I don’t disagree with @bloc that it would be unusually early to die, but you’ll need to access the same area if it’s a clog. Pulling that panel is easy (remove bottom lift gate sill, remove screw behind cargo hook and yank). You should be able to run the fan and see if it’s actually pulling air.

Thank you for the detailed information, I'll try that.
