I installed it the correct way because the nut is non-serated so I'm supposed to tighten that end. If installed backwards you can't get a socket and torq wrench on it.

Yeah, but you left out the best part! It was all assembled and ready to be torqued when we decided to put it back in the same way it came out!!

Glad we were able to get that done. Sorry we had so many problems. You just like to challenge me, don't you?!?! Or you just like to leave your LC in my garage so you can show it off! ;)

How did it drive after the bushings were installed? Could you tell a difference in the way it drove compared to lift and stock bushings?

Now I just have to figure out what I want to do to mine and when.......... ;)

With the lift and OEM bushings was far twitchier. Around town the difference wasn't that big but at highway speeds I felt the need for constant correction and if you weren'y paying attention the truck would shift in the lane especially on bumpy turns. All this was gone after the install of the OME bushings.

StressPuppy, thanks for all the help and having a very understanding wife (who also provides food and transportation). I would have never gotten this done without your help and expertise.

So want's next for your cruiser?

yea.... I so need to do this on my 93.

I've had the bushings sitting in my garage for almost a year now...

sad when your 40 'tracks' better than your 80... (if only it had an overdrive!)

but hey! thats just a testament to the amount of WORK I've put into the 40

Chris, which one are you bringing to CMCC?

Jeff

You can re-pay StressPuppy by doing his rear bearings with that new SST that is on the way to your house! Should be there Thursday according to USPS.

ooooohhhhhhh!

the famous rear bearing SST!

aaaaahhhhhhh!

I...... haven't gotten one yet. however, i HAVE already repacked them :D

Jeff, I... *it's hard to say this... ok... here goes...* can't go to GSMTR. :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby:
i have a bunch to do that came up and i really need to get it done....

John and Mark from Gotham just stopped by for lunch on their way down and I helped John fix his CB. he has now experienced the vaunted *basement* CB shop. be sure to ask him about it.... and say "aaaaaudio.... aaaaaudio....." :D

Tim, I pm'd you to check to see if the shipping you quoted was enough to cover it or not so I can send out the check. Don't worry I've was already offering the sst and help on the rear axle before we got the OME bushing in. Thanks again for getting the SST.

Chris sorry to hear about GSMTR I can't make it either but I was asking about CMCC in June. I see your very distraught over GSMTR and can't get it out of your head. On a seperate note and probably should be a new thread, do you know anything about Lance's t-case skid plate?
