So I have everything apart and am tracing the wires back from the stock converter box and I have no idea which plugs go to which. It appears that the stock trailer wiring box has red '3M' labeled plastic splice connectors so it doesn't look like the replacement Hoppy I have the 43405T. I read that the 91-92's have a different setup but this should work. I do have some Molex connectors but dont want to start ripping stuff apart, especially since with the splice connectors, the stock box will still be wired in.

downloading some pics now. Any help would be appreciated.

Will post in a few.

Mike

Ok I found the Molex and realized that I needed to unplug, then re-plug using the new Hoppy as the 'bridge'.

What do I do with the green wire splices in the red connectors? The green wire that runs under the carpet is also spliced into a red connector. Do I snip these at the connector to remove the old stock tow wiring box?

sorry if Im dense.....

Cheers,
Mike

I've been going through the same pain. When I wired the lights, my trailer turn signals somehow became reversed and the right passenger side trailer brake light doesn't work.

I am curious to see what the pros say.

Austin,

Did you have to cut out the old wiring box? Mine is connected with inline splices......

I didn't take it out. The PO had is trailer tow harness connected to it, so that's what I tapped into. No luck with getting all the lights to work though. Maybe there is a ground problem?
