I have an appointment with my mechanic to flush and fill my radiator. This will be the first time sense I've bought the 80 in December. I put 11k miles on it so far. The PO had it flushed at 70k miles, I think.
Has green in there now. Think I wanna keep the same color though. All the talk about the HG and switch red or green is getting confusing, and doesnt seem to matter from what I'm reading. I'm going to bring in a couple gallons of distilled to the garage mechanic to mix in though. The thermostat will be replaced as well as the PHH.
There has been posts about the a/c not running at a red light, etc...
Should I have the clutch fan replaced? I don't have that problem, but I'm thinking PM. Anything else I can replace to keep it running cool?
There are no signs of HG problems with 102k miles. Like everybody else on the board, I'm checking for bubbles, sludge, and creamy oil constantly. Keeps me under the hood a little more.
Next couple weeks I'm planning a 2 1/2" ome lift install. I really don't want to
spend the cash on that and have to turn around and replace the you know what!
