So I decided to bring my snap on wrenches with me when I met up with my local snap on dealer. I ask him, hey time for my wrenches to get rebuilt. At the looks of this snap on truck. I should have ran.

He enthusiastically tells me sure, cracks them open and just from his 70+ year old eyes, decides they just need “oil” and sprays their guts with WD-40. My eyes popped out and I asked him to please stop.
He said he’s been doing for years. Then why does snap on provide a heavier moly-like packet in the rebuild kits?

I don’t have time to argue with idiots. So I was able to find the right grease and opened them myself, cleaned them and repacked them myself.

Right tool for the right job, but tools are only as good as the dealer and user behind them. Hopefully y’all have had better experiences with the tool trucks or better yet, anyone else maintains their own ratchets ?

I agree with you, no WD40 inside my ratchets.

Right or wrong,I use Fluid Film on mine.
